The Amy McGarry Law Office, PL has been serving individuals of all ages in Ohio and Florida for the past twenty years. As a Board-Certified Specialist in Elder law, Attorney McGarry has met the Florida Bar’s highest standards and has special knowledge, skills, and proficiency to provide premier service to the elderly and their families in our community. Our office takes the time to get to know all of our clients and their families to properly develop a specific plan and educate them on the how and the why.

    We understand that planning for your future, dealing with a loved one passing, or even assisting a family member who has faced issues as aging has risen can be a stressful time. Our office dedicates ourselves to make that process as easy and comforting as possible.




Amy was born and raised in Geauga County located in Northeast Ohio. She attended undergraduate school at the University of Dayton from 1988 until 1991. Amy graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. From 1992-1995, she attended the University of Akron School of Law.

Amy's legal practice began in Wadsworth, Ohio. While in Ohio, she had a general practice that included estate planning, probate, and guardianship. Amy was a court appointed guardian for several of Medina County's indigent elderly citizens. In 1999, she became licensed in the State of Florida. Amy was able to assist Ohio snow-birds with their Florida legal issues. In 2004, Amy and her husband, Ben, and their two daughters moved to Cape Coral. Amy continued her sole practice focusing on estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, Medicaid planning, and guardianship.

Florida Registered Paralegal

Natalia was born and raised in Cape Coral, Florida. She graduated from the Paralegal Studies program at Florida SouthWestern State College in December of 2019. In her free time, Natalia loves to spend time with friends, family, and her dog, Valentina. Natalia joined the Amy McGarry Law Office in July of 2016 and assists with Long-Term Planning and Probate cases.



Madison was born in Mobile, Alabama and moved to Cape Coral at only six months old. She is currently in the Paralegal Studies program at Florida SouthWestern State College. In her free time, she loves to travel and hang out with her dog, Aubri. Madison joined the firm in April of 2019 and handles our intake, marketing, and assists in the Estate Planning practice area.



Trevor was born in Fort Myers, Florida. He is currently attending Florida SouthWestern State College. When he is not working or studying, Trevor spends his time golfing and coaching youth soccer for two Cape Coral Cyclones teams. Trevor assists with our Probate and Estate Planning practice areas.



Alexis was born in Springfield, Illinois before relocating to Cape Coral in 2011. She is currently attending Western Michigan University - Cooley Law School. In her free time, she loves spending time with her daughter and family. Alexis assists with our Guardianship practice area.
