A Bit About Me
Jaimee Thompson brings more than 20 years of experience in elder care, home care administration, and community outreach to her role as Elder Care Coordinator & Community Outreach Specialist at Amy McGarry Law Office.
Before joining the firm, Jaimee spent more than two decades as President and Owner of one of Lee County’s most trusted home care organizations, overseeing operations, regulatory compliance, caregiver recruitment, and client relations while building referral relationships with hospitals, assisted living communities, physicians, and senior resource professionals throughout Southwest Florida.
Jaimee holds certification through the Senior Care Partner Program at Florida Gulf Coast University and is deeply engaged in the community she serves. She serves as a Board Member of the Lighthouse of Southwest Florida, an Advisory Council Member of the Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center, and is a former member of the Lee Elder Abuse Prevention Partnership, an experience that deepened her understanding of elder vulnerability and the importance of protecting aging adults. She is also an active member of CAMEO of Lee County, the Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition, the Lee County Dementia Care and Cure Initiative Task Force, and the Florida State Guardianship Association, among others.
At Amy McGarry Law Office, Jaimee works at the intersection of elder law and care coordination, helping families think through complex situations so they can move forward with clarity and confidence.
For Jaimee, this work is personal. When she lost her husband at a young age, she was devastated but she was not unprepared. Having the right plans in place meant she did not have to guess, panic, or make impossible decisions in the fog of grief alone. That experience is what drives her every day. She knows firsthand that planning is not about expecting the worst. It is about protecting the people you love.
“I help families think through complex elder care situations so they can make informed decisions.”
